The Rhéa 900 Open, which looks more like a lobster smack than its predecessors, is well thought out for coastal cruising for four people. The spacious cabin has generous headroom and is lit by 3 oval portholes on each side and a central, square deck hatch. From the cabin, a door to port allows easy access to the huge teak sunbathing deck and 70cm deep, self-draining cockpit which has 2 large lockers for stowage in the cockpit sole. The raised helm position has two helm seats which are well protected by the windscreen. Good-sized side-decks allow ease of movement to the foredeck, all within the confines of a guard rail which leads to the ‘dolphin-nose’ at the bow.
